I am so pleased Plymouth Church of Christ has this web site. I miss all of you so very much. We are settling in a bit now, but haven?t located a new church yet. NOTHING will compare to the people there. We are so very grateful for ALL of the people who helped us to get my house ready for sale, and especially to Bill and Brenda, for helping to maintain the yard and things. There are no words that I can find to truly expressed how much I appreciate all the love and kindness that has been shown to us. The open acceptance from the people of the church is just not something that is easy to find. I pray all is well with everyone. I wish there was a way I could get the weekly bulletins to keep up with what is going on with the church. If I send self addressed, post-paid envelopes, DO yo} think it would be possible for someone to drop them in the mail to us? Bill has our address. We send our love and our prayers for all of you, and I thank God daily, for guiding me to your church. God Bless, Sandy and John Russell.

Hi everyone. This Summer, actually in two weeks, I will be helping with a Preacher Training program in Southern Indiana. We have about 30 men from ages 14 to 80 that want to learn something about preaching. My part is to teach Expository I Textual Sermon Preparation as well as Time Management. Here is what I would like from you. If you preach Expository or Textual Sermons: 1. What is your method of preparation? Do you have a step by step process. Monday do X and so forth. 2. How do you differentiate between an Expository and a Textual Sermon? 2. How long does it take you to put the sermon together? 3. Are there any particular books that help you master this method more than others? Bible Excluded here. 4. What commentaries are good in helping with these types of sermons? 5. Any other suggestions? 6. Can you give me a particular schedule of a week if you are a full time minister? 7. A lot of the guys ask all the time. Do you have to dress in a White shirt and Tie all the time? Also add me to your bulletin mailing list. Also if you have a list together of the Bulletins you receive send me the address to them as well. I appreciate your time and help with these questions. Also if you have any tapes or outlines of your as a sample to show the guys it would help. Mike Hughes 211 Woodland Drive Lowell, IN 46356

Excellent job on your Web Site. If all Churches could somehow have something like your site, perhaps the WWWeb might be full of positive and spiritually uplifting material rather than it?s present state of sinfullness. May the Lord continue the work of saving souls through such Web ministeries as your own. I was Baptized in the Church of Christ in Norfolk, but am now Catholic. I believe that the Lord Jesus comes to each of us through the many faiths. One of my interests is to compile a directory of all the faiths, with their philosophy and faith statement, organization, requirements for membership etc. such that my patient can be aware of the various faith groups. Thus, as the Holy Spirit through discernment speaks to each they can become a member of that faith group that hopefully will draw them closer to the Lord Jesus Christ. I find that so some of my patients have had such negative past experiences that they have used that as an excuse to avoid church attendance. May be peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you and your congregation.
